Cabimas is a city located in the Venezuelan state of Zulia, on the east coast of Lake Maracaibo, capital city of the same name. It is positioned as the second largest city in the state and is among the top twenty of Venezuela. The weather is hot, with temperatures over 30 ° C throughout the year. The combustion of natural gas from oil wells produce large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2), causing a greenhouse effect that makes a site Cabimas hottest Maracaibo. The Rio Chama is one of the major rivers in Venezuela. It has a length of more than 200 km and is located in Merida, the main river of the entity. Chama River Basin covers more than 3517 km ² and an estimated annual flow upstream of 458.19l every second.
The Chama River is born in the desert of Mucuchies near Eagle Peak at an approximate height of 4,000 meters and is a tributary of Lake Maracaibo.
Chama River follows the course of the fault tectonics Boconó, it separates the Sierra Nevada National Park from the Sierra La Culata, both in the Cordillera de Mérida, creating a vast valley seat of an important number of cities and towns that are San Rafael de Mucuchíes stand, Tabay, the city of Merida and The Watcher. From the 1990s it has reported a possible population decline of the butterfly Papilio Polyxena, formerly common in the middle of the Chama River. It has been shown that nematodes Radopholus similis, Pratylenchus coffeae, Helicotylenchus multicinctus and Meloidogyne sp. found in banana plantations on the left bank of the Rio Chama, Colon County, Zulia State, both in the roots and soil, while the Criconemoides sp. found himself on the floor.

The cascade of Wine is a waterfall with the peculiar feature that the river has a burgundy-colored hue product of an organic compound, tannic acid derived from the roots of the trees around the creek along its path. The waterfall is located in the national park Dinira, within the limits of the municipality Moran Lara State, in the mountains of BBQ, a group of mountains which is part of the easternmost region of the Venezuelan Andes.

Many towns celebrate their own state or religious festivities in honor of a Catholic saint or virgin. In addition, general celebrations take place during the Easter and Christmas, in the Mérida state.

Mount Roraima is a common destination in your Travel to Venezuela for backpackers.
Almost all who go up the mountain close by the Venezuelan side. Most climbers hire a guide in the nearby town of Paraitepui ("the tepui"). Starting from a branch from a paved road, the short dirt road to the village (approx. 50 km) can easily be done by off-road transport or with great difficulty using unmarked vehicles, even if the road conditions were singularly good.
